La Artesana

This Candle is a tribute to the women who preserve Oaxaca’s pottery traditions through generations of craftsmanship. La Artesana is handcrafted from barro negro by Taller Isaura in San Bartolo Coyotepec and filled with a 100% natural beeswax candle hand-poured by Duvelum in Teotitlán del Valle.

The sculpted braided hair celebrates heritage, artistry, and the beauty of handmade work. Once the candle has burned, the vessel becomes a timeless keepsake—perfect as an espresso cup, mezcal cup, jewelry holder, or decorative accent.

Care & Use

• Trim the wick to ¼ inch (6 mm) before each burn for a clean, even flame.
• Burn on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Allow the vessel to cool completely before handling.
• Once the candle has finished burning, remove any remaining wax with warm water and mild soap. Your handcrafted black clay vessel is designed to be reused and enjoyed for years to come.
